How to attribute it.
Quote the figures, reproduce a row, or link to the matrix. We ask only that the citation names Casinos Legal USA, links to the page used, and carries the date you took the figure, since these numbers change with legislation.
- Suggested wording: "According to Casinos Legal USA, which tracks state gambling legality across all 50 states and DC, 14 states now have sweepstakes bans or blocks in force (as of July 28, 2026)."
- What we will not do: supply a quote endorsing an operator, accept payment for a mention, or provide figures we have not verified. If we cannot confirm something, we will tell you that instead of guessing.
- Verification: every status traces to a state regulator page or statute, listed on that state's own page and on the source desk. Where sources conflict, the state page says so.

- 2026-07-28: LuckyLand Slots is shutting down, with hard redemption deadlines. VGW announced on July 28, 2026 that LuckyLand Slots is closing. Gold Coin purchases stop on August 3, the games go offline on August 24, and the final date to redeem outstanding Sweeps Coins is September 14. Anyone holding a balance should redeem before that last date rather than waiting. Note that LuckyLand Casino is a separate brand and is not part of this closure, and that VGW's other sites including Chumba continue to operate. We have kept LuckyLand Slots off our brand listings rather than sending readers to a service that is winding down.
